Meet Your Instructor:
Shannon McCracken is an actor, singer and voice-over artist. She has performed across Canada and is equally at home in plays and musicals, film and television, and on the concert stage. She's played Galinda in Wicked, Amalia in She Loves Me, sung alongside Colm Wilkinson, and can be spotted meditating with Keanu Reeves in a Rogers campaign. Shannon runs a voice studio here in Peterborough and loves encouraging singing actors to own their unique voices and wonderful selves!

AUDITION MASTERCLASS: How to prepare for a Musical Theatre Audition!

Let’s get you feeling prepared, confident and ready for your next audition, so that you can shine! In this masterclass led by Shannon McCracken, we will focus on:

How to prepare for an audition and choose appropriate material.
Acting through song, creating a believable and dynamic story from start to finish.
How to make strong, bold choices in the audition room.
Breaking down the audition process.

Plus, there will be a Q&A at the end to answer any and all of your questions! You can participate either as a PERFORMER or OBSERVER.

Performing participants will have the opportunity to perform their audition song in front of an audience (the other participants and observers), and then work on their song in a safe and supportive learning environment with Shannon’s guidance.

Participating observers will gain insight and knowledge from watching each other perform and work their audition songs. EVERYONE will learn, grow, and have fun while doing it!
